ArecentresearchstudybythePewInternetandAmericanLifeProjectshowedthatforalotofpeopleelectronicinteractionthroughthecomputerhasreplacedthisperson-to-personinteraction.HoweveralotofpeopleinterviewedforthePewstudysaythat’sagoodthing.Why?
InthepastmanypeoplewereworriedthattheInternetisolated(孤立)usandcausedustospendtoomuchtimeintheimaginaryworldofthecomputer.ButthePewstudydiscoveredthattheoppositeistrue.TheInternetconnectsuswithmorerealpeoplethanexpected-helpfulpeoplewhocangiveadviceoncareersmedicalproblemsraisingchildrenandchoosingaschoolorcollege.About60millionAmericanstoldPewthattheInternetplaysanimportantroleinhelpingthemmakemajorlifedecisions.
